Oolong Teasˇˇ"Wu Long Cha"
We first traveled to Anxi, and Wu Yi Shan in 2002, and have enjoyed the finest Tie Guan Yin and Yan Cha Oolongs ever since! Highly respected in Traditional Chinese Medicine for their health benefits of regulating Blood Pressure and the Digestive Tract, as well as lowering Cholesterol.

  1. "Traditional Style Tie Guan Yin" Tea of the Iron Goddess of Mercy (Anxi, Fujian Province)
Big and bold taste, multiple layers of taste with flavor ranging from superb delicate floral bouquet with light milky finish, to deep and intense infusions, as it is traditionally renown. Tightly hand rolled nuggets of rather large, thick, waxy leaves, consistent in size and shape. Light oxidation and final roasting process. Good for numerous infusions of a heavenly greenish-golden colored liquor. It is truly the "King" of Green Oolongs.
"Fall Special Reserve Tie Guan Yin". One of the best Oolongs in all of China. (currently sold out)

  2. "Taiwan Light Style Tie Guan Yin" Tea of the Iron Goddess of Mercy (Anxi,Fujian Province)
Light floral bouquet, with a "very green" Oolong taste, and color. Rather young, small sized leaves processed with a very minimum oxidation, as per the Taiwan High Mountain Oolong processing standard. This new product in China is a result of the recent influx of Taiwanese investment into Fugian Province tea region, and subsequential control over much of the tea processing, since 2002. (Often sold on the market abroad as Taiwan High Mountain grown Oolong).

  3. "Ben Shan" Local Mountain Green Oolong (Anxi, Fujian Province)
A relative newcomer in the Oolong family, these plants have been cultivated for about 60 years. These shrubs are related to Tie Guan Yin stock, but are a hardier shrub, thus easier to grow. A very good Green Oolong. Excellent value. (Often sold as Tie Guan Yin in the U.S.A.).

  5. "Wuyi Shan Da Hong Pao" Wuyi Mountain Long Red Robe (Fugian Province)
Famous Wuyi Mountain grown red (dry) lefa Oolong. However, contrary to popular belief, this tea is actually "moderately" oxidized and roasted. This is why the wet leaves present mostly green color, with gorgeous serrated red edges and crease marks. Exquisite, red beverage, heavily textured, with multiple layers of super-rich taste. Lightly orchid and osmanthus flower scented. The only type of tea that can hold up to the richness of a cup of Java!
