2. "Taiwan Light Style Tie Guan Yin" Tea of the Iron Goddess of Mercy (Anxi,Fujian Province)
Light floral bouquet, with a "very green" Oolong taste, and color. Rather young, small sized leaves processed with a very minimum oxidation, as per the Taiwan High Mountain Oolong processing standard. This new product in China is a result of the recent influx of Taiwanese investment into Fugian Province tea region, and subsequential control over much of the tea processing, since 2002. (Often sold on the market abroad as Taiwan High Mountain grown Oolong). |

A relative newcomer in the Oolong family, these plants have been cultivated for about 60 years. These shrubs are related to Tie Guan Yin stock, but are a hardier shrub, thus easier to grow. A very good Green Oolong. Excellent value. (Often sold as Tie Guan Yin in the U.S.A.). |
